How Long Does Topps NOW Take to Ship?

Understand the Topps NOW timeline from buying-window close through production, shipment, tracking, and delivery without confusing processing time with transit time.

4 stepssale close, production, shipment, and carrier delivery

Topps NOW does not follow the same timeline as an in-stock card or hobby box. The card must finish its limited sales window before the final quantity is known and production can begin.

The most common confusion is treating the shipping method selected at checkout as the full wait time. Expedited shipping can shorten carrier transit after the order leaves Topps, but it does not accelerate the card's production window.

The four parts of the timeline

Each stage can have a different duration. Product pages may specify an estimated ship window, and special formats, autographs, relics, or operational delays can require more time than a standard release.

1. Buying windowThe release remains available until its countdown expires
2. ProductionProcessing begins after the sales clock closes
3. ShipmentTopps sends a shipping notice and tracking when ready
4. DeliveryThe carrier transit clock begins after shipment

Why the general store estimate does not apply

Topps' store policy says its general three-to-five-business-day shipping schedule does not include Topps NOW and other countdown products. For those releases, collectors should use the estimated window attached to the product or order.

That exception is logical: Topps cannot finish producing an on-demand card until the buying window establishes the required quantity.

Expedited shipping does not speed production

Topps states that an upgraded shipping method only expedites transit after shipment. It does not change the day the order becomes available or completes processing.

If timing matters, separate the estimated production window from the selected carrier speed. Paying for faster transit does not turn a print-on-demand card into an in-stock item.

How to check a delayed order

Guest orders may not appear in an account dashboard, so retain the confirmation email and order number. International delivery can also add customs processing beyond the carrier estimate.

  • Open the order in your Topps account and review its estimated ship window.
  • Check the product page and order email for release-specific timing.
  • Use the tracking number only after the order has shipped.
  • Contact Topps Collector Support if the order is beyond its promised window or tracking has stopped updating.

No. Topps says expedited shipping affects transit after shipment, not production or processing time.

When does Topps NOW processing begin?

Topps says processing begins after the product's sales clock expires, with the estimated ship window shown on the product or order details.
